Case 25 (11996): Breast Augmentation

This physically active 45 year old woman saw Dr. Graham at the recommendation of a friend who was a happy patient. She had done internet research, but was not confident of claims made elsewhere. She was 5' 5" and wore a 36B cup bra pre-op. She wanted to increase to a D-cup and chose 330ml saline implants, which gave her the desired size increase. She had had 2 children and breast-fed them. She had some sagging, but preferred to avoid breast lift (mastopexy) incisions, and was pleased with the post-op breast shape. She had an easy post-op course, "I've been comfortable the whole time." She loved how they looked and felt that she looked like she lost weight. She protected the incisions from UV while tanning. She had no numbness and natural sensation.
