Case 4 (11849): Breast Reconstruction / Mastectomy

This 56 year old woman was referred to Dr. Graham by her mastectomy surgeon, for breast reconstruction. She had already had mastectomy, and did not need radiation or chemotherapy. She wore a 38 D bra and asked us to restore the right breast and lift / reduce the left breast. She didn't want to be so large any more. Her reconstruction options were discussed by Dr. Graham and her final choice was to have tissue expansion and an eventual breast implant (on her right), plus a reduction on her left. During the first procedure the expander was placed and a reduction was done. The expander was filled during several post-op visits. The right breast implant was placed 4 months after the first procedure. Nipple reconstruction and tattoo pigmentation were completed later. She now wears a 38 C bra with good symmetry.
