Case 1 (11309): Laser Resurfacing
This 72 year old woman was referred by another plastic surgeon for treatment of wrinkles, acne scars, and sun damage on her face. Options were discussed including facelift, fillers, and various laser wavelengths. She wanted to avoid open surgery and her sister had had good results with carbon dioxide laser (CO2). CO2 laser was done under anesthesia, to a moderate depth. She experienced a normal recovery. She told us that the results were better than she ever expected. She commented, "I am glad that I had my surgery - acne scars are gone, eyes not crepey and baggy, wrinkles greatly diminshed. Friends say I look 20 & 30 years younger. A wonderful result. I can't believe the laser did all this."
