Case 7 (13035): Tummy Tuck / Abdominoplasty

This 35 year old woman chose Dr. Graham based on excellent reputation among the medical community. She wanted a tummy tuck because of stretched loose skin. She was 5' 4" tall, 115 pounds and had 3 children. Her prior C-section scar was indented and dark brown. There was a small umbilical hernia (which we repaired). We recommended a full abdominal skin excision and muscle tightening. There was little fat, but the portion with the excess skin was removed. This removed almost all her stretch marks. The early scar healing has some dark pigmentation, but should fade with time and treatments. There is a small vertical scar just above her main incision, that represents the old umbilicus location (most of the time this goes away with tummy tuck, but she did not have much upper abdominal looseness).
