What Is The Best Thing For My Face? First of all, there isn’t one outstanding thing for me, but there is one for many patients who see us about facial rejuvenation; upper eyelid (blepharoplasty) surgery. When you feel you look old or tired, and when others comment on such an appearance, it is often reflected from our eyes. When we’re tired it is not unusual for our upper lids to settle a little, but in our 40’s (or beyond) this is often due to changes in the elasticity of the skin and underlying layers. To improve this we offer a variety of aids from creams to laser, but frequently the most effective single thing you can do to improve your appearance is upper eyelid tuck, AKA blepharoplasty. The procedure is relatively short, out-patient, with local or general anesthesia, little pain, and a brief recovery. Excess skin and underlying bulk is carefully marked and measured, tiny incisions are made, and Dr. Graham removes redundant tissue. The scar falls within the natural eyelid crease or normal wrinkle lines. These scars heal with some of the finest scars anywhere on the body. Many patients return to work in one week, but traces of the procedure take 2-3 weeks to fade. You can resume golfing, gardening, and work-outs in 3 weeks. Dr. Graham thinks you will find “upper bleph” a relatively simple and easy procedure making you look quite natural, refreshed and maybe…younger. A nice improvement
