You are familiar with the rest of the process. You don't get to speak with the front desk. Maybe an efficient call center. Dr. Graham dislikes this as much as you do.
Our solution: Our practice has 4-5 full-time front office staff who know that the ringing phone is their first priority (actually second; after the patientstanding in front of them at their desk, of course.) Our incoming calls are set to ring our front staff for 4 rings giving them the opportunity to personally answer almost all calls. What happens at lunch or when all staff really are helping other callers? First, we keep one staff member at the desk during lunch. Second, this is when the automated system steps in. We don't want to miss your call. You'll be asked to leave a message and we will call you back soon. We promise.
Tell Dr. Graham personally if you do not get "the best service of any medical office that you deal with." That's our goal.
