Injectables Minimally-Invasive / Fillers: Case 13

Description

This 29 year old woman wanted treatment to reduce the visible hollows under her eyes, commonly known as "tear troughs." We treat these with Restylane injectable hyaluronic acid. We evaluate each patient, discuss their goals and how we can help, discuss the treatment recommendations, side effects, risks, and the recovery or downtime, if any. She did not need blepharoplasty, surgical eyelid tuck since there were no prominent lower lid bags. She had good skin tone. She was an excellent candidate for tear trough correction with filler. Topical anesthetic cream was used. The filler was carefully placed by Stephanie, our experienced nurse injector. We re-evaluated her and performed a touch-up to gradually achieve an excellent, subtle correction. She will return in many months for follow-up, and eventually have maintenance filler treatments. Some patients go 18-24 months between treatments.
