Injectables Minimally-Invasive / Fillers: Case 14 (08582)

Description

This 57 year old woman sought treatment for under eye hollows at The Aesthetic Center of Dr. Sutton Graham. She noticed the gradual appearance of the rim around the lower eye area. This is due to gradual fat thinning and relaxation. As the fat changes and descends, the bony anatomy of the lower eye socket becomes more evident. This is commonly known as the "tear trough" although, in her example the issue extents farther around than a basic tear trough. The development of hyaluronic acid fillers provides an excellent treatment option for these areas. This treatment requires a delicate and precise approach since over-filling is not beneficial. We recommend Restylane filler for this indication, although we also use Juvaderm products in many other areas of the face. This patient was treated by one of our experienced nurse injectors, Stephanie, who did an excellent correction.
