Injectables Minimally-Invasive / Fillers: Case 16 (23031)

Description

This 19 year old woman came for improvement of her lips. Interestingly, she had successful repair of her lip cleft as an infant. She had a slight mid-line indentation from bringing together the two halves of the lip. She had some irregular contours of the the upper lip vermilion (pink). The upper lip border (white roll) and vermilion lacked proper projection. Even well done cleft reconstruction may leave minor irregularities that can be further improved by injectable fillers, such as Juvederm Volbella. We discussed her concerns and desires, our recommendations and possible side effects or rare risks. Volbella is a filler product designed to be soft and is ideal for lip lines and contours. Stephanie, one of our nurse injectors performed this correction beautifully. She will need touch-up treatments approximately twice a year.
