Male Breast / Gynecomastia: Case 11 (34524)
Description
This 55 year old gentleman waited many years to see a plastic surgeon, but decided it would be worthwhile. He had typical gynecomastia; excessive fibrous gland development over his left and right chest. The appearance of the excess fullness made him uncomfortable. His online research lead him to Dr. Graham. Surgery consists of creating a small incision concealed around the lower edges of the areolas, leaving a thin layer of normal subQ fat, and leaving the intact chest muscles (pectoralis, serratus) and removing the bulky tissue inbetween. The space is closed and a compression vest helps the layers heal together. After a few weeks men can resume vigorous activities. Some numbness is common. Results are shown 4 months post-op.
