Body Tummy Tuck / Abdominoplasty: Case 21 (18924)

Description

This 29 year old woman consulted us about improving the contour of her tummy and torso. We discussed the options of liposuction and/or tummy tuck. Her left back and flank was fuller than her right. The tummy had central fat, stretch marks and moderate skin looseness. Liposuction would remove excess fat from all of these areas, but loose skin would remain. Tummy tuck would allow her to have tighter tummy skin and muscle. Waistline / flank liposuction could be done at the same time as tummy tuck. Her decision was to have the combined procedure. During surgery 2 pounds of skin and fat were removed from the lower tummy and an additional 800ml of fat was suctioned away around her waist. Photos show her improvement. The small vertical scar above her pubic area is the remnant of the prior belly button location before the skin shifted downward. Scars faded well at her 1 year follow-up visit.
