Body Tummy Tuck / Abdominoplasty: Case 29 (3822603)
Description
62 yo woman who wanted a better toned and shaped abdomen. She consulted with Dr. Graham about her mid-section. She didn't like the fullness, rounded shape, and loose skin. Pregnancy had been the main source of her changes. She was aware of tummy tuck procedures and sought our recommendations. She was a candidate for a standard abdominoplasty in which all three layers; skin, fat and muscle are removed or improved. The roll of loose skin and fat was her primary concern. She had lost her curved waist. Exercise didn't make a difference in her muscle tone. She had her procedure and recovered smoothly. The "after" photos show nice improvement months following her surgery. The section of discarded skin and fat is available for those who don't mind seeing a surgical specimen. You can see the left and right half portions laid side-by-side and you can imaging where the belly button used to be: the circle above the two X's. It shows how much extra skin and fat she was carrying around before surgery.
