Breast Reduction: Case 15 (13657)

Description

This 49 year old woman was referred to Dr. Graham's Aesthetic Center for symptoms caused by her large, sagging breasts. She requested reduction mammaplasty. She wore a 34DD bra and wanted B-C size. She was 5' 2" tall and 125 pounds. She had 2 children, breast fed, had normal mammograms and no history of breast disease. Her symptoms included slumped posture, embarrassment, interference with clothing and exercise, shoulder grooving, neck & shoulder pain. Her procedure was performed as an out-patient and she could return to work in less than one week. About 380gm were removed from each breast, and importantly a breast lift was done. After 2 months, she was wearing a 34C bra, felt wonderful and reported no shoulder or neck pain. In her words, "GREAT."
